I don’t need the belt attachments; can I order my holster without the belt attachment?
Yes. You can choose the “no belt attachment” option and we will not include the belt attachment.
How soon can I get my order?
We have the fastest lead time in the Custom Gun Holster industry. The current lead time quote starts from your order date only if there are no delays. Delays could be caused by missing details from your order, or if we’re waiting on reference images from you, or if we’re waiting for your reply or approval. If there is a delay, then the lead time quote will start on the day that your order is finalized and approved for production. The courier (shipping) transit times may vary depending on your location and current events. Be sure to check the front page of our website for the current lead times before placing an order because they can change depending on our current order volume.
We also have the Priority Build request available (depending on order volume) which will put your order on a 1-3 business day lead time.
How will my order be shipped?
We ship all orders via USPS. Any orders over $200 are shipped requiring a signature.
Can you ship my order via UPS or FedEx?
Yes, just add a note with your order and we will send you the package information once your order is ready to ship, then you can send us a shipping label to use. Since we don't regularly use UPS or FedEx, the shipping paid at time of purchase will cover the time required for one of our employees to take your order to a drop off location.
Does KT ship internationally?
Yes. Simply add the items you want to the shopping cart and choose the "Ship outside the US" option, or select your country from the menu. You will then be guided through the international shipping process.
Does KT ship to an APO address?
Yes.
I don't have a PayPal account, does KT accept credit cards?
Yes. Just add the items you want to the shopping cart and choose to "check out" without PayPal. All payments are still processed through PayPal for security reasons but you will be able to pay by Credit Card without a PayPal account.
Does KT have a phone number I can call?
Yes, but we communicate in writing only, via email. Since we offer a lot of options, we have to communicate via email so that we can send you links and pictures for reference. Conveying alpha-numeric plus character nomenclature of links over voice is not practical and inaccurate (for lack of a better word). We hope you understand.
If you’d like more details on this topic, please read on, otherwise, please send us an email if you have any questions: contact@kt-mech.com
If you’ve ever purchased anything, anywhere, ever, you’ll notice that receipts are given to you in writing, either electronically or on paper. The reason for this is for good record keeping. Your email communication with KT is the receipt of your business request for goods and/or services, of what you paid for, and so that you can easily reference previous discussions. By having yourself something in “writing” of what was previously said, or what you think you heard, or what you thought was promised, or what price was quoted to you, we’ll all save a lot of time and money by having something in writing to reference to.
We do understand that some are disabled or unable to communicate in writing. If so, please have your legal representative, custodian, or guardian send us an email so that we can make arrangements. contact@kt-mech.com
Thank you for your understanding and patience!
I didn't get an order confirmation right away, will I get an order confirmation?
We haven't hired any robots to send emails yet so all order are still checked by a human for accuracy and compatibility. You'll receive an emailed order confirmation as soon as your order is approved and forwarded to production. If you're using a different email for correspondence from the email you used to place your order, please let us know so that we can send the email to the correct/current email address. Thank you for your patience!
Will the holster still work if I don't have a weapon light in my weapon light compatible holster?
Yes and no. On a non-weapon light compatible holster, the Primary retention is typically via the trigger guard. With a weapon light attached, the trigger guard is obscured so the holster will need the weapon light for proper retention. You will still be able to use the holster without the weapon light in a weapon light compatible holster, but the retention would be minimal, similar to 150 years ago with the old style holsters where gravity was your retention. Guns are no joke and it is a matter of life or death. It would be best to use the right tool for the job and use a non-weapon light holster if you're not running with a weapon light. You can also get more info on this subject on the video below title "How is the handgun retained in the holster?"
Can I come visit KT's facility?
Yes. For those of you who want to start a business or already have a holster business and would like to learn how we get things done, we offer several packages in our SOP Training page. We even have a “shoot the breeze option” if you’d just like to come by and chit-chat. Here’s the link: SOP Training
