SHOOT BETTER

- Get a Weapon Light -

Adding a weapon light to your handgun will help you shoot better.

A heavier handgun is easier to shoot because its mass creates more inertia, which allows the firearm to absorb and resist the sudden forces of recoil and shooter movement.

The physics and mechanics behind this include:

1. Reduced Felt Recoil: When a bullet is fired, an equal and opposite force pushes back. A heavier gun requires more force to move, meaning less of that energy is transferred into your wrists and palms.

2. Less Muzzle Flip: The extra mass dampens the upward snap of the barrel (muzzle rise). This makes it significantly easier to keep the gun aimed and allows for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.

3. Enhanced Stability: The weight prevents the gun from swaying as much in your hands while you are aiming. It helps to mask minor hand tremors or imperfections in your grip, providing a much steadier sight picture.

Installing a weapon light on your handgun is one of the easiest ways to add mass to your firearm. The more CR123 batteries the light takes, the better.

We can build any of our holsters with a weapon light. See which weapon light models are available here ↓

- Add a Compensator or Muzzle Brake -

Wanna shoot faster? The more “accurate” rounds you can throw down range, the more chances you’ll get of a critical hit. A compensator or muzzle brake will help with that. With a comp or brake, some of the blast or jet of hot gas gets redirected up and/or back, which helps minimize felt recoil and muzzle rise. This means that your gun will spend less time pointing at the sky after every shot. The faster your muzzle gets back down and pointed at your target, the faster you can pull the trigger again. pewpewpew, instead of pew—pew—pew.

box comp housing ← Any of our holsters can be made to work with a compensator. If your compensator is the same profile or lesser than your slide, then we can build the holster to work with your compensator. Just add the “box compensator housing mod” to the shopping cart with your holster order.
custom s← If your compensator is larger or wider than your slide, no problem. We have the KT AKELA Custom-S holster that’s specifically designed for use with a suppressor or large compensator.

red dot sight

- Pin Point Accuracy with a Red Dot -

You’re not blessed with perfect vision? There’s a club you can join, it’s called the club of “everyone.” Holographic optics and red dot sights (Optics/RDS) are prolific for a reason. You can get the first shot on target faster than iron sights. No need to align 2 dots with 1 little dot and then look at what you’re shooting at. With Optics or RDS, you just look and shoot.

We can build any of our holsters with clearance for high sights, threaded barrel, optics/rds, extended slide stop, extended mag release, switched side mag release, or any other minor modification at no extra charge. You’ll be able to select these options from the order menu or add a comment, or send us an email if you require a peculiar modification. We’re always happy to help and we’ll see what we can do.
