The RDS Housing is an available option if your RDS is compatible. The RDS is limited in size because the RDS has to be smaller than the RDS Housing, which has to be smaller than the RDS Hood (level 2 hood).
The max height of your RDS has to be less than 1.1" from the top of your slide. If your RDS is about 1.1” tall from the top of your slide, your RDS may contact the RDS Housing and could hinder your draw.
To add the RDS Housing to your holster, add the RDS Housing option to the shopping cart with your holster order, and we’ll put them together.
If your RDS is too big, we can still build any of our holsters with an RDS Cut at no extra charge. The RDS Cut will allow for a wider and larger range of RDS/Optics sizes. You will be able to select the RDS cut from the holster’s menu.
NOTICE: The RDS Housing can “not” be purchased by itself or after your holster is already made. The RDS Housing is a sub-frame specifically built with the holster during production. The RDS Housing is only available for new holster builds, or if you’re exchanging your old holster for a new one.
NOTICE: We cannot guarantee that your choice of RDS will fit in the RDS housing. We can only inform you that the top clearance is 1.1” and you are responsible for making sure that your RDS is below 1.1” tall from the top of your slide, not from the top of your mount, base plate, or adapter. The RDS Housing modification is a service and it is non-refundable. Please do not purchase this option if you are not sure.
