Which belt attachment is more stable, OWB Quick Clamp or OWB Drop Plate
The OWB Drop Plate is what we would recommend if you like stability and a little drop on your carry holster. If you'd like a belt attachment that's easy to take on and off, then the OWB Quick Clamp is quicker.

How fast can I get my holster order?
Our current lead time is typically 1-2 weeks or less, but could change depending on our current order volume. You can check the current lead time on the front page of our website before placing an order. The lead time is the time it takes from when you place your order to when your order is shipped. The shipping time may vary depending on how far away you are from Nampa ID USA.
I have training coming up soon. Can I get my order sooner?
Yes. I most cases we can move your order along at no extra charge. Just let us know. If you need your order as soon as possible, we do have the Priority Build request service. The Priority Build request will bring your order in front of the production line and would bring your order to a 1-3 business day lead time. KT ship internationally?
In most cases Yes. During the checkout process, you will be able to select to ship outside of the US.
KT have a light bearing holster for IWB (inside the waistband) carry?
We have the #6 KT Defender holster that is a low profile design. You can order the KT Defender holster with an OWB (outside the waistband) or IWB (inside the waistband) belt attachments.
KT have a level 2 retention holster?
The #1 Duty KT AKELA holster and the #2 Mk360 KT Wild Weasel holster has level 2 retention. They will have an adjustable profile retention as Primary (level 1) and a fast opening hood as Secondary (level 2).
Which KT holsters work with a threaded barrel?
We can build “any” of our holsters with clearance for High Sights, Threaded Barrel, and/or a Red Dot Sight (Optics) at no extra charge. Just let us know by selecting the option from the order menus, or you can email us after you place your order.
Will a KT holster work with a suppressor (silencer) attached?
We have the #7 KT AKELA Custom S (Suppressor) holster which is specifically made for use with a suppressor or large compensator attached. You can learn more about this holster here -
I have a compensator on my holster. Will a KT holster work with a compensator?
Typically yes. If your compensator is the same height and width and no larger than your slide’s profile, we can build it into the holster. There is a small cost for this modification to cover the extra material and labor. Contact us for a free consultation - contact@kt-mech.com
I have a compensator that is wider than my slide’s profile. Will KT be able to make a holster for that?

I placed an order but didn’t get an order email right away. Will I get an email of my order and when will my order ship?
After you place your order, you will receive an automated email receipt to the email address that you used to place the order. You will also get an order confirmation from us after your order is approved and forwarded to production. We don’t currently use any bots, so a real person will send you an email. This means that you will receive correspondence during normal business hours. If you need to contact us for any reason, any time, send us an email.
